THE ISSUES AT HAND
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
BETTER URBAN SPRAWL
I am proud to support and push for change throughout the community. I have lived here for over 10 years and what drew me to Chestermere was the small-town feel. Chestermere is growing at an exponential rate. Some of which do not seem to be planned out very well.
This is a very serious issue that has been impacting many residents of Chestermere. I would like to address this issue head-on and rally the support needed to make the proper change and find out how we could better integrate our city with our communities.
UTILIZE THE RESOURCES WE HAVE
THE CHANGE WE NEED
Can we better utilize the resources we currently have in Chestermere? This particular issue has been increasingly gaining traction over the last year. It is an issue that needs to be addressed, and heavily discussed among the community. I will be pushing for change.
Examples brought up to council would include:
The golf course and not developing it into multi-family homes.
Additional ice rinks
Utilize the canal
Storm pond usage
LOCAL RESIDENTS, RED TAPE & TAXES
CUTTING THROUGH IT
I am truly passionate about this issue. I would like to find out the process and cut through the red tape for residents on a variety of issues. I would like to keep taxes low and explore new avenues to give further tax breaks.
I will keep pushing until the correct balance is reached between the city council, CAO and Chestermere residents.

TEENS AND YOUTH
THE STAKES ARE HIGH
I would like to address this issue head-on and rally the support needed to make the proper change by possibly accessing the Social Investment Framework initiative in Chestermere. As a mother of two teenaged boys, I can relate to all the parents out there struggling with their teens.
Mental health plays a huge part in their developing lives. Having a safe place to go and hang out with your friends is key. Having a safe place to talk or reach out to a professional is paramount. These teens need it and they deserve it.
FOR A BETTER FUTURE
This issue is very close to my heart and I have been meticulously working on it. I feel it would be of extreme value for Chestermere to have its own victim services in the city. The need is great and growing daily. Many residents I have talked to about this issue are frustrated at the lack of information and the accessibility to it.
I would like to make it easier to access information and resources at a local level. A place of empathy and understanding. I look forward to continuing my work with local authorities and pushing this movement forward.
Some areas in Chestermere could use a bit of a facelift. Some examples of this are of new communities from 10 - 20 years ago. Long gone are the shine and dazzle. The remnants remain. Faded, chipped paint, broken signs, tattered scraps on flag poles. I would like to add lighting in our pathways, clean up the debris. Tear down the old signs, fix up what has been run down and neglected.
