A ROLE MODEL RESIDENT
I have been volunteering, advocating and giving back to the community for many years at a grassroots level. I wanted to take a different approach and change my platform to reach as many people as possible to make a real difference. Take action and be the change I, as so many others want to see in Chestermere. I hold the public's interest very close to my heart. I have set my standards very high and will continue to fight for change in our community.
My background is in nursing/healthcare and business relations. I have spent the last 20 years balancing both. I have run group homes for patients with Multiple Sclerosis, mental and physical disABILITIES, and now am at the Peter Lougheed Hospital. Between healthcare, I was a key player at the Reader Sales and Service department for many years at the Calgary Herald. Currently, I run the logistical side of operations for my and my husband's earthworks construction company. I am always looking for best practices, a way to streamline things. We have been a successful business due to dedication and honesty. I would like to bring this forward as a city councillor. Locally, I started and run the Chestermere Women's Group. This group encourages women's inclusion, resources and a sense of belonging. I also created YYC and the surrounding area missing person page. This page is to share the most up-to-date information on local missing persons to help facilitate finding them as soon as possible.
